Affiliate Marketing Reaches India

In a country like India, affiliate marketing sounds more than Greek. May be people are not very clear about the words that make this phrase 'affiliate' and 'marketing'.

I do not know why dimwits keep on talking and writing about affiliate marketing as if they are champions in the league. There are so many versions and telltales that poor advertisers or people in general are very much confused about the whole idea of affiliate marketing.

To put it in just plain English, affiliate marketing is marketing by the web experts. Such web experts may have their own web sites, which is very much obvious, or may own some popular blogs. These web experts simply place contextual ads, promotional messages and such reviews that endorses the brands of the advertisers.

Many people think of affiliate marketing as some kind of salesmanship. It is true because the web site owner is often given credits for selling products and services. The role of the affiliate at that time becomes that of a salesperson.

In a country like India, affiliate marketing sounds more than Greek. May be people are not very clear about the words that make this phrase 'affiliate' and 'marketing'. The first time you say it to anyone and you will get a blind expression on their faces. It is as if they do not want to understand it either.

As an affiliate marketer, it is very tough to convince the advertisers or merchants of the possible benefits they could be having. Our domestic market is far from being competitive and there are countless opportunities, provided the concerned people understand and comprehend the value they will get from affiliate marketing.

If large scale integration of affiliate marketing India takes place, even at the regional level, web site owners would live a happy life ever after. Small businesses will also profit as they would get access to the customers that come visiting the web sites. Still, you feel indecisive whether such a transformation will take place in the near future.
